In line with the Coactivedreams theme meaning to have a dream and then work to make it a reality; the One Spark Crowd Funding Festival has a compelling draw because for those creators who have struggled long and hard with an idea and been able to mold it into a product, it offers a chance to tell their story on a fairly large stage. It means any fear has to be thrown to the wind because it represents a chance to get in front of people who can make it happen.

I wanted you hear five that displayed a level of dedication and passion that goes to the heart of what it means to be an entrepreneur and how they hope to change the way people conduct their lives. I had to smile as I moved around the designated area and talked with several creators because it became quite clear that they had worked on getting their “pitch”, or description of their idea, just right. The pitch becomes very important because you never know who might show up and offer financing for your project. You want to quickly say enough to get them to want to hear more. Listen to them in the podcast give the pitch of their lives.

The Creators:

Sweetspot: An online bakery that offers what appears to be a mobile catering service. Their pitch indicates they have plans for the future.

As a few of the creators mentioned, getting votes to win crowd funding was the goal. However, more than anything this was their chance to get in front of as many people as possible to talk about not necessarily their struggles but what had come from all those long nights.  I wish them all well.
