One of the most basic human needs in our personal or professional lives is to feel that we belong or are part of a group. And yet, you continually hear people talk about feeling alone in a crowd or not feeling like they are a part of the team.
This weeks podcast episode is designed to let you know that you are not alone and that there is a reason you feel that way. Often we form associations or friendships based on proximity, thinking that the person is at the same location as you and obviously they want some of the same things that you want. Time passes and then there is this strange feeling of disconnect and you don’t know why.
Another instance occurs when two people have claimed similar goals or desires only to down the line discover that they are moving in completely different directions. If either one had taken the time to not only listen to what the other was saying but also pay attention to what they were actually doing the mismatch would have been discovered a lot sooner.
The motivation series “Motivation While You Sleep” is a tool you can use to clarify in your own mind what are the most important goals for you. Very often your true goals are hidden from you and this gentle relaxation session allows you to get past your defenses and allow your true goals to surface. Being able to understand your own true goals allows you to clearly figure out the things and people that work best for and with you.
The episode helps you come to grips with why these mismatches occur, and then provides steps to follow that will help you find like minded people. Given your particular situation, the steps may require you to simply make slight adjustments or bold moves. However, the sense of belonging that can come from finding your tribe is well worth either… You’ll thank me later.
