It was a dark and stormy night, and suddenly this tweet arrived at my door asking for help launching a new app. What added to the mystery was that the sender could not give me any details about the app except that she and her partner, Brian, felt so strongly about it’s potential they quit their jobs and gave themselves 90 days from creation to launch to get it up and running. Listen to Samantha (Sam) Nicholson in the latest podcast episode give you the details of how they came up with the idea and then set off on a journey to end all journeys.

If this was not enough pressure, they were also doing a documentary showing all the up’s and down’s that went into bringing a product to life. I remember thinking that something like Sam and Brian 1this usually ends badly. But, the more I dug into their story something strange happened… I became a believer. I don’t know if it was the trailer for the documentary, Sam’s rock solid belief, or the folks in the town of Boise, Idaho that decided to get behind their project; but I found myself thinking they could pull this off. At the time of Sam’s interview they were days away from the launch of the app. Now that the date of launch has passed I can provide a link to their new app.

But the story does not end there. Sam and Brian still need your help to complete financing for the documentary. You can contribute and get more details at their Indiegogo page. But let Sam tell you…

I hope you understand now why I became a believer, because I think they will pull it off. Theirs is a quest much like that line from the Maltese Falcon: “This is the stuff that dreams are made of.”
